A Warm Welcome to Our Newest Students
September brought new faces to both of our campuses as California Career Institute welcomed the newest students in our Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Diagnostic Medical Sonography programs. Starting a healthcare program is a major commitment, and we are glad these students chose CCI to take that step.
Orientation at Anaheim and Hawthorne
Students at both our Anaheim and Hawthorne campuses recently came together for orientation. It was a chance to meet the faculty and staff who will support them, learn more about their program expectations, become familiar with campus resources, and begin building connections with the classmates who will be learning alongside them.
Orientation can feel like a lot of information at once, but it serves an important purpose. Students leave knowing who to ask for help, what will be expected of them, and that they are not doing this alone.
The First MRI Cohort
For our MRI students, this orientation carried extra meaning. As the inaugural MRI cohort, they are doing more than beginning a new program. They are helping launch a new chapter in CCI’s history.
Being part of a first cohort carries a unique sense of excitement. These students will be the first to experience the MRI program from day one, and they will set the tone for the students who follow them in the future. We are proud to welcome each of them and look forward to watching their skills, confidence, and knowledge grow as they move through this brand-new program.
Welcoming Our Diagnostic Medical Sonography Students
We are also excited to welcome our newest Diagnostic Medical Sonography students. Beginning a sonography program can be both exciting and challenging, and these students are taking an important step toward developing the technical skills, professionalism, and patient-care experience the field requires.
As they begin their classes, labs, and hands-on training, our new sonography students will be learning how to combine technology with patient interaction, attention to detail, and critical thinking. Every lecture, lab exercise, and practice session is part of building the foundation they will carry into their future clinical experiences.
What Comes Next
The first weeks of any program come with a learning curve. New terminology, new routines, new classmates, and new expectations all arrive at once. Our advice to every new student is simple:
- Ask questions early and often
- Make attendance a priority from the very first week
- Get to know your instructors and campus resources
- Build connections with your classmates
- Take it one class, one lab, and one day at a time
To all of our new MRI and Sonography students, welcome to CCI. Whether you are part of a brand-new program or joining one of our established healthcare pathways, this is the beginning of an important journey. We are excited to see where it takes you.
