A New Program and a New Chapter for CCI

September marks an exciting milestone for California Career Institute. We are proud to introduce our new Associate of Applied Science in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, a program designed for students who want to build a career in one of healthcare’s most advanced imaging fields.

The launch of the MRI program represents an important step forward for CCI as we continue expanding educational opportunities for students pursuing careers in healthcare. It also opens a new chapter in the school’s history, one that begins with our very first MRI cohort.

See Our Brand-New MRI Lab

Magnetic resonance imaging is a hands-on field, and our new MRI lab was built with that in mind. Students learn in a space that reflects the environment they will one day work in, with an MRI scanner, patient table, and imaging workstations where scans can be reviewed and discussed as a group.

In the lab, students gather at the console alongside faculty to review images, observe positioning and patient preparation, and talk through what they are seeing on screen. Learning in this setting helps students connect classroom theory to real practice long before they step into a clinical site.

Technology Plus Patient Care

MRI technologists do far more than operate equipment. They work directly with patients who may be nervous, uncomfortable, or unsure of what to expect. That is why our program emphasizes both sides of the profession: the technical skill required to produce quality images, and the communication, attention to detail, and professionalism required to care for the person on the table.

Why the First Cohort Matters

Our inaugural MRI students are doing more than beginning a new program. They are helping shape it. These students will be the first to experience the MRI program from day one, setting the tone for the students who follow them in the future.

We are proud to welcome each of them, and we look forward to watching their skills, confidence, and knowledge grow as they progress through this brand-new program.

Know Someone Who Would Be a Great Fit?

If you know someone who might be interested in our MRI program, encourage them to reach out. Whether they are exploring healthcare careers for the first time or looking for a program with strong hands-on training, our admissions team is happy to walk them through what the program involves and what to expect.
