Financial Aid Available for Those Who Qualify
California Career Institute’s Financial Aid department will help you determine a personalized tuition plan that works for you. Depending on the program you select, there are various options of financial aid available.
Apply For Financial Aid
To apply for financial aid, you can meet with our Financial Aid Department for a Tuition Estimate. Here are some of the forms that they will review with you:
- Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- A list of schools (beyond high school) previously attended.
- Federal student loan programs or a Federal PIN number.
Once you turn in the above, the Financial Aid Office will start working with you and let you know if they need any additional information.

Federal Financial Aid
The following Title IV Financial Aid sources are available for those who qualify:
Unsubsidized Direct Stafford Loan or Subsidized Direct Stafford Loan
Are federal student loans for eligible students to help pay for the cost of higher education at a 4-year college/university, community college, trade school, career school, or technical school.
Federal PLUS Loan or Direct PLUS Loan
Enables both students and parents to borrow money at low-interest rates from the federal government. These loans can be available for students. Direct PLUS Loans may be available to parents of dependent students. A Direct Stafford Loan might be subsidized or unsubsidized. Direct PLUS Loans will usually be unsubsidized.
Federal Pell Grant
Students’ just entering college or returning to get their degree may qualify to receive a Pell Grant. One you’re ready it’s a simple process to apply for aid.
Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)
Is a grant for undergraduate students that have great financial need. Households garnering less than a certain income might qualify for a Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant.

General Eligibility Requirements
If you’re interested in applying for financial aid, here are some general eligibility requirements.
- Be currently enrolled in an academic program leading to a degree or diploma.
- Provide proof of high school graduation, GED or equivalent.
- Not be in default on a student loan or owe a refund on a federal grant received at another institution.
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress, as outlined in the school’s catalog.
- Be a United Stats citizen or eligible non-citizen
The amount of federal financial aid offered will vary based on your financial need.
